Formed by the natural accumulation of deposits about twenty years ago, this island is today a true haven for lovers of nature, camping, and water fun. Just a few minutes' boat ride from Sremski Karlovci, it represents one of the most beautiful natural attractions of Vojvodina.
Every year the island changes shape – the river carries away part of the sediment and moves it further along, so its edges are constantly adapting to nature. During high water levels, the island occasionally disappears under water, which preserves its wild and untouched beauty.
It is densely overgrown with willows that resemble bamboo, and the light yellow sand gives it the appearance of a tropical beach. The southern part is ideal for families due to the shallow water, while the northern part offers quieter coves and shade.
